Garage Conversions

The space of a garage and what it can offer is often overlooked when it comes to improving your property. Whether it’s renovating an unloved garage, building a new one altogether or turning your garage into an additional reception room or bedroom, it’s a conversion that can bring huge rewards. Building regulations and planning permissions are not usually required when converting your garage. You may be asking yourself "do I need planning permission for a garage conversion?" If the work done on your garage is done on the inside / internally, no planning permission is required. If you may be thinking of increasing the overall height of your garage, you will need to speak to your council to find out whether you need planning permission.

In terms of cost, this will vary a great deal based on a variety of different factors. The size of the garage, the amount of work needed, materials used, the insulation needed and any other requirements you may have are all factors which determine the price.
